George,
how does this fit in hp's strategy to phase out this brilliant operating
system ???
I know, you are the LAST man (!) in hp who wants to do this but you are
urged to help MPE customers to migrate to other platforms ... nevertheless,
now hp wants to sell more A- and N-servers for MPE ? Does hp assume that
people buy these boxes having an end date of 2006 (EOS) - knowing that
there are still some rather old MPE/V, MPE/iX 5.0 installations doing their
job ?
Without the announcement of end of MPE, I would be happy in hearing such
good news ... but with the imminent end of MPE I feel a bit foolished.
Best regards, have a nice weekend, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany
