Joe,

One option that I used with success is the Crossroads SA-40.  It has 8 HVD SCSI and 2 fiber connections.

The only problem is that MPE can not boot from the SA-40.   So, I had to hook up a Model 20 just for the system volume set.

I would have to believe you can find a spare 5814A-003 somewhere.   I am pretty sure I have one.  (only one).

I will look around and let you know.

(I also have a couple of the Crossroads switches if you are interested)

We have run into a problem with one of our Fiber routers.  What we have is a HP A5814-003 fiber router that has failed.  This allowed us to connect a 969/420 to a VA7410 array.  Our service provider can't find a replacement anywhere.  I'm looking for ideas on how to connect these to again or a place to get another model 003 router.  The 003 is the only model that will work for what we need.    I'm trying to avoid having to bring the system up on a 12h from backup tapes and then do a rebuild on the VA if one is located.
