<<Wow.  That's really cool!  I guess I've been ignoring the PC for too
long. When did Micro$oft add PA-RISC code generation to Visual C++ ?
 Does it actually support MPE intrinsic files and all that??

You must not have gotten the 4.2 subscription update ;-)
 
The PC offers so much more in the way of useful editing, easy access to
other information, and not having to flap with the command-line compiler
that it's worth the hassle of downloading the code to compile in on the
3K. Of course, it doesn't hurt that about 70% of the code for my current
project is client-side C++ code for the PC, and only 30% or so is
server-side C stuff that I have to transfer to the 3000 to compile and
run. If this were a 100% HP project, I might not be doing it this way.
