 Anyone have any sugesstions on how to detect if a system has multiple CPUs
in a CI script?

I know that on single CPU models, my jobs will degrade performance if I try
to leverage more CPU (doing character conversion and compression), but if I
have multiple CPUs, I can get more throughput if I leverage them.

I am hoping to let my jobs detect that there are multiple CPUs and turn on
extra features to take advanage of them.
