Hewlett-Packard Beats Forecasts

A YEAR after its merger with Compaq, Hewlett-Packard
posted fiscal second-quarter earnings yesterday that beat
Wall Street's estimates despite continued weakness in
technology spending.

I hate when people use sports analogies and them get them wrong. The
correct phrase is
"They HIT the cover off the ball"
