We've been using RAID level 3 (striping) for the past 4 years now on our
Series 967. We had one instance where one of the modules failed. The
system sent a message to the console telling us something was wrong. We
were able to pull out the old and just plug in the new. I did not notice
any degredation. We are running financial and MRP applications that are
very disc intensive to begin with, but I saw nothing serious as the
module, once replaced, was rebuilding itself when we plugged the new one
in.

I believe however, the interface card is only a 5Mb pipe.We are planning
to upgrade all our drives to 4.3Gb drives connected to the fast/wide
interface which is a 20Mb pipe.
