I was told that an POSIX executable made by c89 on HP-UX can also be
executed on MPE. However I failed to make this work. The systems
I am using are HP-UX 9.01 and MPE/iX 5.0. The followings shows
the steps I've done.
 
On HP9000:
  $ cat x.c
    main()
    {
    }
  $ c89 x.c
  $ ftp my_hp3000
  ftp> put a.out AOUT;code=nmprg;rec=,,b
 
On HP3000:
   :SH.HPBIN.SYS
   shell> chmod 755 AOUT
   shell> AOUT
   **** EXEC FUNCTION FAILED; subsys =517; info = 48
   ABORT: AOUT
   NM SYS   a.00a19314 dbg_abort_trace+$24
   NM UNKN  1b9.002eac50
   NM UNKN  480.0004bbd8
 
Is there anything I did wrong ?
