I just loaded Samba on my system and was able to get it to work (my
system
is running 5.5 and my pc NT4.0), however, I'm having a few problems. I
can
create a file on my system - no problem, but if the file already exists
on the
3000, some editors won't behave. PFE won't open any file that exists on
the system, unless it created it. Dos EDIT will open an existing file,
but
seems to have problems saving it back.

Also, what is the difference between running SMBD under INETD or
using the SMB Monitor job? I think Samba's great and am eagerly
awaiting for official HP support!!!

Thanks, Todd Boyd
