Subject: [HP3000-L] WOT : US Presidential Election

Hi fellow listers,

I'm out of read mode and back into write mode for a wildly, wildly OT
question :

I've been told that, to be able to run for President of the USA, one has
to
be at least 35 and have been born on US soil. What about a kid whose
both
parents are American, but who happens to be born outside the USA ? Would
he/she be allowed to run anyway when he/she is 35 ?

It's a question my 10-year old just asked, and I did not have the
answer.

TIA,

Christian "still interested in US politics, somehow" Lheureux
