Hello Friends:

Here at the NewsWire we've been watching the efforts of HP 3000 consultants
to get a place on the Web. Last summer we offered SIGConsult free web space
on FreeNews web site to list their members' services. Our offer wasn't
accepted, but we still believe that such consultants deserve a place to
profile their services on the Web. In the 13 years I've been writing about
the HP 3000, I've found these professionals to be one of the best resources
for keeping the HP 3000 a vital resource in computing enterprises.

<PLUG?>
In that spirit we're starting the 3000 Consultant Corner, a Web page linked
from our anyone-can-access FreeNews site
(http://www.3000newswire.com/newswire) where consultants who do HP 3000
work can profile their services in a brief listing. Those listings can
include links to consultants' own Web sites and e-mail addresses. The
listings are free to paid subscribers of the 3000 NewsWire. (That's a $99
subscription in the US and Canada or $149 overseas, if you don't already
subscribe to our monthly newsletter and e-mail news service about HP 3000s.)

Be sure to get specific about your HP 3000 expertise. To submit your
listing to us, just send me e-mail at [log in to unmask] and I'll send you
format instructions. We ask you submit your listing in HTML, and don't send
attachments. (If you don't do HTML yet, think of this as a high-yield first
exercise.)

We promise to make sure that an Alta Vista Web search on "HP 3000
consultants" turns up the 3000 Consultant Corner. And we'll be glad to
include a link to the existing Interex consultant's page (paid advertising)
that John Alleyn-Day mentioned in his postings.
</PLUG?>

Consultants who perform HP 3000 services deliver expertise that's in line
with the 3000 NewsWire's mandate: to promote and improve the value of HP
3000 computing. We hope to assemble a great listing of them at our FreeNews
site.
