The POSIX mv command or the :PURGELINK / :COPY commands are the key, but
you might also be interested in a script on Jazz that reports which UDCs
are in use on your system, and by whom.  Look for CHKUDC at:
  http://jazz.external.hp.com/src/scripts/index.html
