I would like to inject an HPe3000 issue into the works.)

I believe that there was a recent request for enhancement suggestions to be
posted on this list for virtual CSY, if this is so, I submit the following:

I have long wished that CSY had followed through when converting MPE/V to
MPE/iX and carried forward the feature in the spooler that showed the
percentage completed for a printing spool file so that time to completion
could be estimated.  This seems like a small enhancement that might be able
to be squeezed into the remaining time for development.  In fact they could
probably just copy/convert the code from the last versions of MPE/V.

(Now back to the pro's & con's of war.)
