I think I documented some rules about how some options applied to
some filesets back when I first added indirect files to STORE (in Q-MIT
MPE). ... in the ES (the formal lab document for the product).
 
I seem to recall that first the options are grabbed from the command line,
then the indirect file is scanned once (at the start)
for syntax checking AND grabbing the values of the various options.
Then, the list of files is built...using the final state of the various
options.
 
In the case of multiple DATE options, quick testing shows that the
above description still holds true ... the last DATE seen in the indirect
file is used...and overrides any command-line DATE.
