Although I came out in defence of both 3K Associates and STR - I will also
interject this --- anyone who faxes reports is crazy. Use a server process
to create the reports and e-mail them. There are many elegant solutions
using this method.

If you don't have e-mail capabilities inhouse, get them. E-Mail is getting
more inexpensive. NetMail can be used to e-mail reports right from the
3000. Other servers can also be used. (Again, it may seem that the costs
are disparate, they are not -- NT and Client Licenses + Exchange equal about
what you would pay for NetMail)

A leased line to the 'net these days is coming down faster than a gallon of
gas/litre of petrol in the USA (OK, that's starting to go up again ;) -- I
just got a quote that cut yet another $300/month off my line from Verio,
after @Home said they could do it for $200 less/month - and I'm not even
getting them to compete! (Oh yeah - no installation costs either! Another
couple thousand off the cost).

In other words - faxing is not always the answer.

Cheers,
Joe
