Subject: Vesoft - DBexpansion

I am looking for a way to expand data sets using Vesoft. I am familiar
with dbadgalt, and I use it. My challenge is this. I have certain data
sets in different db's that are linked to Ksam files. When these data
sets are increase/decreased in size the associated Ksam file must also
be increased/decreased.

When using the %REPEAT or %FORFILES construct in Vesoft is there a way
to say;
If setx(dbsetfullness>.8) increase the file size so it is 60% full and
then do the same with the associated Ksam file.

Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just take Image out of the problem by using dynamic data set
expansion. It works for details and masters and relieves you from the
tedium you've been experiencing. Second, can you replace your KSAM parallel
files with Image B-trees? You'll then have all Image solution that doesn't
need to be goofed with.
