MPEX had almost all of the functionality of
the XEQ command on the classics. You might
be able to get a copy from VESoft. If they
cannot provide it anymore, and depending on
what you are doing with the XEQ command,
there may be another possibility. There was
a program with SOME of the functionality of
the XEQ command (oddly enough, called XEQ)
which ran on the classic 3000, back in '82
or '83. It was written in SPL and was put
in the CSL. If it is still around, you may
ind it helpful.
(IIRC, it would execute commands which it
could with the "COMMAND" procedure, and it
would run programs, with a couple of extra
parameters. While it could not run UDCs,
if you put the equivalent commands into a
file, it could execute standard commands
out of a file.)
