Sorry for the Off-Topic post, but I can't think of a better group for this :)

<plug>
After quite a while, I'm ready to bring "AppeerX" (EDIT's Report Management
software) out of the barn so to speak. I'm not planning on trying to do any
marketing until sometime after the beginning of the year (no one is going to
buy software until then anyway!) and I'd like to get a few people to run the
software through a beta cycle to let me know if its really ready for prime time.
Considering how busy many of us are with the Y2K craze I know free time is
very sparse lately, and isn't going to get any better for a while. That's why
I'm not expecting any real heavy-duty battering of it, just some simple run throughs
and a general impression of worthiness (boy am I opening myself up with that!).

For some general information about the product, check out:
http://www.editcorp.com/appeerx

If you would like to join the beta, go to:
http://www.appeerx.com and then:
1. Register as a new user with the web site (link at the bottom of the page).
2. Register for the Beta Program (link in the text on the main page).
3. Go to the Beta Program link at the bottom of the page (it won't be there
until you do steps 1 and 2).
There are some instructions for getting the software and license keys on that page.
You can do everything on-line without having to contact EDIT for disks/tapes/keys/etc.
The HP 3000 software is in a compressed Store-To-Disk file, and the PC software is
in a self-extracting compressed install file. I'm not including the AppeerX Web Gateway
server in the beta as that requires a separate Windows NT system with a web server and
Cold Fusion installed on it, and I'd like to get impressions about the standard client/server
portion first.

If you're interested in this type of software, or just nosey :) I'd appreciate your
taking a look at it for me. There are still a ton of things I want to do to it, but I need
to release it and start the process at some point.

Thanks In Advance!
Michael L Gueterman
