Bob Combs, Interex Nominations Committee & Past Chair, has asked me
to post this to the 3000-L list. Thanks, Jim

==========================================

This is a request to Interex 3000 members:

These are changing times, especially for 3000 users. Now more than
ever the 3000 voice needs to be heard. One way to make it heard is
to run for the Board of Interex. We're looking for candidates
interested in running for the Board so please consider running.
Interex needs you.

To help familiarize interested members with the requirements,
expectations, and process of being nominated and elected to serve
on the Interex Board of Directors, a Board of Directors Candidate
Packet is provided to any individual who expresses an interest. The
Candidate Application, a part of the Board of Directors Candidate
Packet, is a petition that must have at least 15 member signatures.
Valid member signatures on an application may be any person signing
the petition who a) is an Interex member in good standing, and b)
has signed the petition 90 days before ballots are mailed; i.e.
before May 1.

There is one seat on the board up for election this year.
Candidates are needed. Candidate applications must be filed no
later than May 1, 2003. So begin collecting signatures early. The
election itself is held starting in September.

If you are a member of Interex in good standing and would like to
run for the Interex Board or Directors, request a Candidate Packet
from the Interex office today. Please contact Gayle Crossley at
