I just read about these two critical, possible data loss patches - MPENX11 and MILNX10 (both dealing with large files). Questions:
1) One of my HP3000's is on MPE 6.0 (because of older disk drives). I take it that these patches don't apply, since large files were not introduced until MPE 6.5.
2) Must I have a HP support contract in order to download these patches ? I don't have either machine on HP support.
3) Assuming I can download these patches to a PC, how do I get them on the machine (Reflection binary transfer ?)
4) Assuming I get them on my MPE 6.5 machine, how do I install them ? Is there some place they should be placed, and then I can use the on-line install, update manual to install them.
5) I have no powerpatches on my MPE 6.5 - must I have some level of powerpatch in order to use these patches ?
