I talked to Jeff himself today from the hospital. He sounded
pretty clear, but weak.  He can't talk for long at a time and
they just took him off the venilator a few days ago.

He fell yesterday and broke some part of his hip and will be
undergoing surgery tomorrow or Monday to set pins in it and
his leg is in traction.  Nonetheless, he sounded like he was in
pretty good sprits.  Monty also heard that he may not require
the liver transplant, if he keeps improving.

He has been moved to a new room, 239, in Memorial Hospital
in Chattanooga.

After he recovers some from the hip surgery (after next week),
I expect he'll appreciate more visitors, calls and cards.
