I have to go with Denys on this one.  I don't tune into this list
for long winded advertising.  It isn't that advertising will change
anyone's product.  The issue is forcing subscribers to weed through
messages.
 
And although a little harsh, Denys did provide a suitable alternative.
Post the message and ask people to tune into a web site or some other
media for more information.  Less than one screen is almost acceptable.
Put a subject header that says ADVERTISEMENT and I will be satisfied.
