The catch-22 is this. I have asked technology and industry questions that
are, on the one hand, off-topic, but in which the list members have valuable
experience and opinions to offer. On the other hand, they are more on topic
than the politics and religion that this list, like Will Rogers, never
discusses. Flagging them as off topic means that those who have opted out of
or generally igmore email so marked will never see them.
It seems that the only option is to no longer label such question OT. That,
or label them, knowing that some people whose opinions I value will never
see them.
