Thanks for the quick replies. Turns out the data base restored had
omindex files from an older version. I'm converting them now.
Thanks again.

Disable dbname for indexing in DBUTIL. Or reinstall / update
xlomnidx.pub.sys

Subject: [HP3000-L] Suprtool Help
Sorry to interrupt the political debates but I'm stumped (no pun
intended)
I just restored a database from one account into another account. This
"other" accounts security is wide open for both the account and the
group. After the restore completed I used MPEX and made sure the
creator of the data base was mgr.acctname.
When I run suprtool from another account to access this database, or
attempt to access the database from within this "other" account, I get
the following error:
>ba=macitm
Database password [;]?
UNRECOGNIZED RETURN STATUS: 3949
Error: Unable to open the database
Any ideas? I'm stuck!
What does this error mean?
Thanks in advance
