Hi folks:

For those of you who use Patch/iX and download patches: I've gotten word
that at least a few of you have had trouble restoring the downloaded
Patch/iX file set - getting an error from RESTORE something like "FAILED TO
RECOVER PORTIONS OF COMPRESSED DATA". I'm still trying to track down this
problem. In addition, I'm going to try to make the Patch/iX files available
from the anonymous ftp site (us-ffs.external.hp.com) in the near future.

In the meantime, I verified with at least one system manager that if I just
e-mailed him the same file that it worked just fine. So... as a short-term
solution for anyone running into this problem, just send me an e-mail
request and I can forward you either version of the Patch/iX download (each
is about 2 MB).
