Hi Folks,
In today's Globe and Mail, yes some of us still actually read print, there
is an article on a Canadian grocery chain called Sobey's. They converted
their "legacy" systems to SAP AG as the solution to Y2K. Today they have
reached the conclusion that it don't work. As a result they must take a 55.1
million dollar hit to drop SAP. The article does not say what they will
switch to......... I would like to suggest HP3000.
As a side bar I know one person that works in their IT, they could not
understand why we were keeping our 3000 when the only Y2K solution was to
move to "new" tech.
By the way Sobeys expects to make 17.1 billion in 2002 up from 12.1 billion.
When ya got the bucks you spend the bucks!
