The sense I have is that there are perhaps more "official" HPers who
pay attention to the ITRC forums. HP engineers regularly respond to
forum posts. Also, the forums are subdivided by area and do not have
as much OT traffic. Finally, I think awarding points to responders
provides some incentive for certain readers to respond and assist with
problems.
On the other hand, with 3000-L you get a broad audience with
wide-ranging practical experience and lots of advice (mostly good at
that!).
