Knight Ridder (was headquartered in Miami. Florida, but I think they moved
to San Jose, Calif about 2 years ago) does also, but I haven't seen any
postings on the list server from one of their people in quite some time.
They produce the local "Monterey County Herald" right here in Monterey. The
following is an excerpt from their home page regarding their IS structure.

"Technology: Publishing System - DTI front end system with 50 PCs running on
a Sun server. Business System - One HP/3000 Model 928 with 50 PCs (both Mac
and Intel-based). In addition, there are approximately 100 PCs attached to
our Ethernet local area network. Color: Between 25 and 35% of pages are in
color, or about 10 pages per day. The Herald inserts 105 million preprints
per year from advertising clients."

Their URL is: http://www.kri.com/kr_li/index.html
