I am a firm believer in giving charity. I also believe in doing it for
"pure" reasons. The original suggestion, forgive me if I am misinterpreting
it, was that our giving to this charity would cause the WSJ would write a
story. (Shades of Col. Cathcart)

I believe this is neither "good" charity nor good marketing. The WSJ may not
be impressed enough to write about it and if they are who is going to
guarantee that what they write will be what we want to say? The only way to
be sure of what an article will say is to write it yourself. In newspaper
parlance an article written by the consumer is called an advertisement.

So, we can give to charity but there's a catch ...
