My son is after upgrading his 1.5 year old Acer Laptop (AMD Phenom II N930 Quad Core) to something with a larger screen. Thought that I might be able to put the free version on it and have a play.
Have found out that although the chip (K10) supports the SSE4a instruction set, this has no connection with Intel's SSE 4.1 at all :(
cpu-world.com says "The first AMD microprocessors with SSE 4.1 support were Bulldozer-based FX-Series and Opteron 6200. These families were released in October and November 2011 respectively."
