The first thing I'd do, John, is to boot to the ISL and type ODE, then at the ODE prompt type RUN MAPPER.

This will show you all the h/w the system sees.

If you don't see those two drives, then check the cabling/power/terminators/etc.

It looks like these drives were on the external SCSI MFIO (card with the console, lan, etc) connection.

If the drives don't show up, check inside the 918 where you disconnected the drive and make sure the ribbon cable is still connected thru the cage to the MFIO card.

As in "does not exist" or does a DSTAT ALL show in an "unknown" state?

If the former, I'd check the paths.  Either

1)  Move the plugs to paths Sysgen wants or
2)  Change the paths in Sysgen > IO. Do a HOld then KEep then reboot.

If the latter, looks like some VOLUTIL work.
