I'm not absolutely sure, but I think IIS and the MS Index Server will index
WP docs. It does Word, Excel, TXT, and a variety of others, so at worst,
they could convert the docs from WP to .DOC.....

Subject: OT: Text search/retrieval software

I have a client with a small set of WordPerfect documents (around 100 mb)
sitting on a PC in their office. What they want to do is find some
software where they can search this set of documents using keywords and
phrases, and retrieve the relevant documents. They are running a Novell
network with approx. 50 seats. Roughly 20 users need to be to be able to
search the docs. It would be nice if the search engine has a web
interface, but it is not critical. Does anyone know of a package which can
do this?
