Subject: Additional Memory + Processor for an HP3000

We're currently running an HP3000 957-100 and it looks as it will be
having to do a job for us for a while longer as the delivery of a new
ERP system appears to have been delayed.

The demands on the system are increasing and we are looking at
installing extra memory to help cope with the load. Another option we
might pursue is an additional processor. It is not an option I am
familiar with at previous sites as we have only had single processor
machines.

Is this a good idea? What benefits might we see? Do we have to radically
change any of our operating procedures to get best use?

Thanks

Simon
