You don't need the WRQ DLL for WIndows 95. Using the Windows 95 Winsock =
and TCP protocol should be sufficient (at least it is for me). RNS, =
however, does provide better performance...I've used both...

To use it, rightclick Net Neighborhood, click properties. This opens =
the Network property sheet.

If TCP/IP is not a listed protocol, click Add, select Protocol, then =
Microsoft TCP/IP

After it appears in the property sheet - click it, then Properties. Add =
your IP address information, Gateway information and DNS Information, if =
needed. You need at least, IP Address information. Click OK.

You will have to restart Windows 95. Do so, and when you come up, you =
will have TCP/IP running and ODBC to the 3000 should work (provided that =
the 3000 node.domain.org name can be resolved - otherwise - use your =
3000's IP address or add a HOSTS file in the \Windows folder.

Best,
Joe Geiser

Subject: ALLBASE/ODBC and Windows95

Looking for information from people who have successfully connected
to Allbase-Image/SQL via ODBC from Windows 95.

I've already visited Denys Beauchemin's very informative Web site
on the topic We do not have the relevant WRQ dll that he
recommends(our Reflection Network Series is limited to Telnet
Connection only and I think rnnsvt.dll is associated with NSVTonly?)

So, I am seeking other connection methods.

TIA, Bob.
