That's what I've been telling people here. Since several of us are supposed
to be 'on-call' (which for me will mean having the phone within arm's reach
of my side of the bed), why not meet here, monitor the systems until the
date rolls over, and if all is well, uncork the champagne at 12:0n AM and
sing Auld Lang Syne.
Let's see. We've survived the 99th day of the year (99099), the GPS
rollover, 9/9/99... I am beginning to agree with a co-worker who thinks that
the computers and utilities will be fine, but "Mother Nature" will drop a
couple of feet of snow on New England that weekend, just for grins, and so
we have something real to get through.
