The Xerces SAX and DOM parsers at http://xml.apache.org are offered
in Java and C++ implementations. I have used the Java versions on my
MPE/iX 5.5 machine (JDK 1.1.7B) "out of the box" -- well, at least,
I was able to run some of the supplied examples; cannot do much more
as I am not an XML expert.

I have not tried to compile the C++ version of Xerces on MPE/iX, not
only because I lack spare time and a pressing need for XML at all. It
also did not seem a good idea for *me* because I am neither experienced
with C++ nor with XML... not the best starting point for porting ;-)

However, I'd be happy to help (or try to) with porting questions of
someone experienced with XML and/or C++ wants to look into Xerces C
for MPE/iX... (considering the recent frequency of XML postings, this
might even make a nice group effort).

Lars.
