Eugene is right. I had forgotten about the EBOOK group. Vladimir Volokh
(Eugene's father, for those of you who are new to the HP3000 community)
called me and walked me through the EBOOK group and showed me, to my
surprise, that the very first file on the group contained the foreword that
I had written many years ago.

It is a pleasure, indeed, to go back to review all of this wonderful material.

For my own education, I made an effort to read the whole thing. What
better way, I thought, than to prepare the material for the Web? As a
first step, I inserted the bare-minimum HTML code. As the next step, I'll
do some minimum reformatting, to give it a slightly newer "look". For now,
what you see is what you get :-)

The VESOFT articles are under "Technical papers" at http://www.adager.com

Enjoy!
