I just got a response from my CRC. The problem exists because the
command line is passed via the INFO string to the MPE command, and this
string can be max. 279 bytes (drat... I could have thought of that).
It has been reported before, and they're checking if a fix is
available.

About the other problem (can't specify object file name with -o) they
say this cannot be considered a bug... They advise to roll my own
c89 wrapper, which I already did.
