Well I received the e-mail from Wirt saying he's seen the phenomenon. Actually he sent me two e-mails. One addressed to me and 3000-l doesn't have the problem. The other to 3000-l only has the problem.

FWIW, I use Lookout. My e-mail provider is Earthlink. I have never seen this
behavior.
