Of course you could always do what I did.  I created a shortcut on my
desktop to my dial-up connection - and then gave it a shortcut key.  Now all
I have to do is press "shift-ctrl-C" and it dials for me.  The prevents me
from having to traverse some absurd menu options to find the "Dial-Up
Networking" option.
