  James-

  I'm confused :>(

You state that you moved patch FTPHD71A to GR this morning, but it was on the 7.5 PowerPatch 2 release. Am I not understanding something here?

  Hello Jeff,

  RE: Restore from disc file

As per the :NMMAINT,50 from your system you have the FTPHD68A patch
installed and that was the last one in the current patch line to have a
"data" fix. The FTPHD71A patch does not include any fixes which would
resolve your problem thou you are welcome to pick it up as I moved it to
General Release this morning and it possibly will be available for download
  on the HP-ITRC by Friday.

This looks to me like a new problem at this point and it is very concerning
to me that the symptom appears to be data corruption. it would be good to
get a call open with the HP-RC, I am sure they will find me soon thereafter.

The suggestion that lower-case 'donna' had to test against UNIX is a useful
one to help fault isolate this problem. I do have a fedora Linux and a few
other UNIX machines I can test against with enough disk space; let us know
what Linux you are running this test against.

  Regards,
