     What are the settings for the profile being used on the modem port.
     Which port is it? What series 3K?

        I'm having difficulty hooking my support link modem to the spare
     modem port. When I dial the phone number from home; the modem answers;
     but I get nothing but garbage.

        My settings are as follows:

        Support Link side 2400 bits/sec
                Bell protocol
                Multiple mode

        Home side using a Hayes 2400, 8 bit no parity.

        I'm using the cable supplied by HP for the connection between the
     support link modem and the space modem port.
