Hi all,

We are wrestling with a rack of Hayes Optima modems and are trying to
figure out how to get them going on a new 3000. In our trials and
tribulations we have determined (with lots of help from Randy Medd)
that in order to actually use these modems with the 3000, we have to
resort to using hardware flow control (RTS/CTS). NMMGR has a
configurable parameter regarding hardware flow control but I don't
have enough confidence in that to assume that our DTC is one of the
"lucky" ones.

The question is, "Do DTC/16 MX's support RTS/CTS?"

In a related matter, it appears that Reflection 1, version 5.21
actually uses transmit pacing to swallow XON's (DC1). Does anyone
have any understanding of this?

Thanks,

Bill (now I remember why I hate modems, they are smarter than I am) Lancaster.
