Not sure how heavy you define "cardstock" and to what trouble you are
willing to go, but I have successfully printed DLT barcode labels on
90# paper, which is pretty darn stiff, on an HP4000N using the manual
feed for a slightly less challenging paper path (at least I think it
was).  I have no idea if it will work in a tray, never tried.  I only
needed two sheets worth anyway (30 labels per sheet, then you get to
play with the paper cutter).

I don't recall the official maximum weight supported but I think 90# was
over it.  I had our supplier give me a few sheets of various heavy
papers and since the heaviest sample worked, I used it.
