I'm forwarding this for a friend who is having sporadic network
slowdowns. We've replaced cables, terminators, lan cards. The problem
appears to be out on the lan somewhere. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,

John Lee

HP3000 MPE/ix 6.0 patch 2

We are having a network problems with our HP3000. Running Minisoft
92 v5.4:32 at our client locations we are getting very slow responses or
even timing out. We have replaced our network lan card in the CPU, we
replaced the network cable to the crossover adapter; we have replaced our
crossover adapter, we changed the fiber optic cables and went to a
different port on the switch and with no change in response time.
We have shut the system down and rebooted with no change. The
serial connections work fine. We have made no configuration changes in over
a year. This started happening a few weeks ago seems to be getting worse.
We can go to a command prompt and ping the CPU and it may come back fine a
couple of times then it might time out.
