Yup, remember the 1620 well.  Its code name was "CADET".
This stood for "Can't add, doesn't even try".  To add
decimally its used a llookup table.  All arithmetic operations
can be accomplished with an add only capability.  BTW, the only
print
device for the 1620 at first was only an IBM typewriter.
Gentlemen and ladies, we have come a long way in the last forty
years!
