Rob,

What Oracle error number (ORA-xxxx) are you getting? There may a file named
./sqlnet.log you can look at to get additional info about the error.

Subject: Help!! HP3000 and Oracle

Hello HP and Oracle users,

We are currently running Oracle on the HP3000. Because Oracle is not
supporting its database on MPE in the near future, I am looking into
putting the Oracle database on its own server (NT or Unix, not sure yet).
I have a test database installed on an NT box, and trying to connect to
Oracle through Cobol. This is failing! I can connect through SQLPLUS and
server manager using the service name, but cannot in COBOL. Does anyone
have an answer to this problem or any advice concerning the end of support
of Oracle and MPE?

Thank you,
