Hi Mark

It works fine for me under Manager.sys or the equivalent of running god. So
it is something silly that I am missing. Here is the listfile output for the
files :-

:listfile /usr/contrib/bin/bash,security
 *****************************************
 FILE: /usr/contrib/bin/bash

 ACCOUNT ------ READ :
                WRITE :
               APPEND :
                 LOCK :
              EXECUTE :

 GROUP -------- READ :
                WRITE :
               APPEND :
                 LOCK :
              EXECUTE :
                 SAVE :

 FILE --------- READ : FCODE: 1030
                WRITE : **SECURITY IS OFF
               APPEND : ACD EXISTS
                 LOCK :
              EXECUTE :

FOR MGR.APACHE: READ, WRITE, EXECUTE, RACD
:redo
listfile /usr/contrib/bin/bash,security
                               acd
listfile /usr/contrib/bin/bash,acd

:listfile /usr/contrib/bin/bash,acd
 PATH= /usr/contrib/bin/

 ------------ACD ENTRIES-------------- FILENAME

 $OWNER : R,W,X,RACD bash
 $GROUP_MASK : R,W,X,RACD
 $GROUP : R,W,X,RACD
 @.@ : R,W,X,RACD

Thanks for the help.

regards

Peter

Subject: Re: Bash access problems

1) Are you able to run it from MANAGER.SYS or any other SM user?

2) From the original userid with the XEQ error, what do you get when you do:

:LISTFILE /usr/contrib/bin/bash,security
:LISTFILE /usr/contrib/bin/bash,acd

3) Note that bash is linked with an XL list containing
/POSIXC60/HPBIN/LIBCPXL. Make sure the user running bash also has access to
this XL.
