Agree with Gilles.

Did you do an INSTALL from the 7.5 SLT and restore the MPE info from your 7.5 box, then a KEEP on the restore of the 5.5 backup?

How, exactly, did you perform the update from 5.5 to 7.5?

 From your brief description, I would be surprised that your rebuilt
system doesn't have more issues than simply displaying the wrong HPVERSION.
