Guy,

I dont think so, but I hadnt thought about it really.
I think we still eat a similar mix of fresh vs frozen veges as we did back
in Oz - ie the shopping list stays pretty much the same, except that some
imported fresh stuff is way too expensive. Most of the local produce content
is fine, just lacks some of the size and cosmetics of imported vegs.

I suspect the major change in intake is the water. In Oz we had some
exceptionally pure water supplies (straight into car battery from the tap
quality), whereas here the running water is desalinated sea water, with many
residual dissolved salts, and not pleasant to drink, with drinking water
purchased in 5gal jars - the same origin as the tap, but further processed.
Until a year or so ago it was dearer than gasoline.

We have always had a high skin cancer rate in Oz in my memory, and it was/is
taken for granted that you took some precautions against sunburn, and it was
quite a surprise here to not have so much concern in that area.

Regards,
jp

John,

With the move, was there a change in your diet as well? If you eat more
vegetables with Lycopenes, you will do more for dimishing the affects of the
suns rays, than sun block.
