Can anyone tell me if I can turn off the function in 2000 pro that
hides less often used programs (and how to do it)? Thanks.

Jon

Jon;

Using Personalized Menus
Personalized Menus keeps the Programs menu clean by hiding items you
haven't used recently, while keeping all of your programs easily accessible.

When Personalized Menus is turned on, Windows 2000 keeps track of which
programs you use each time you use your computer, and hides the programs
you have not used in a long time.

You can still gain access to hidden programs by clicking Start, pointing to
Programs, and then clicking the down arrow at the bottom of the menu.

To turn on Personalized Menus, click Start, point to Settings, click
Taskbar & Start Menu, and then select Use Personalized Menus on the General
tab. To turn off this "feature" blank the checkbox and hit "Apply".

Additionally, you can hide default programs vis a vis "Set Program Access
and Defaults" in Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel accessed from
Settings in the Start Menu.

Hope this was helpful;

Bill
